"It's not about covering this map or that map. The quantity doesn’t matter as much as what type of architecture, solutions you have at the right places."

A bridge over the digital divide
In the final episode of Mobile World Congress in LA, season 3, and of 2021, Matt and his guests discuss bridging the gap between the digital revolution and underserved communities around the world.
"The cloud-like nature of 5G, the efficient use of spectrum, the network programmability… that’s fundamentally more important than getting that 5G icon."
During the episode, Matt is joined by three guests including Jeff Luong from AT&T. In his role, Jeff is President of Broadband Access and Adoption Initiatives and is tasked with bridging the digital divide nationally for the company. Matt also speaks with Roy Chua, the Founder and Principal at the leading analyst firm AvidThink, as well as Sandeep Panesar, the Executive Vice President of Strategic Engagement at Turnium Technology Group Inc.
"The ability to give back and to be part of society, not something that feeds it, but actually be something that's part of it is quite incredible."
Together they discuss how the service provider community has embraced the inherent responsibility of helping their communities.
